Welcome to Port Discover!

Kids are the Scientists at Port Discover! Located in the middle of beautiful downtown Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Port Discover is fun-filled, hands-on science center for the kid in all of us!

• Second Saturday Science : Rock Out!
Date & Time: September 11th, 11:00 am
Admission: FREE
Reservations are required.
Dr. Thomas Rossbach, professor of Geology at Elizabeth City State University, will provide an introduction to minerals, rocks and fossils. Children are encouraged to bring in samples for Dr. Rossbach to identify.

• Toddler Time : Fossil Frenzy

Admission: $5 per family
Reservations are required.
This program is just for preschoolers, ages 3 – 5.
Learn all about fossils...from dinosaurs to shark teeth. The young explorers will discover how fossils are make and what clues they leave for us. Each child will make their own fossil print.
Parents or guardians must accompany the child.
